She is back!!!
This week Lala's behavior therapist changed to Ms. S. Ms. S was on maternity since March and her replacement...well you can read my previous blog. Lala was on her best behavior and playful. She tried to get away with little things but of course Ms. S did not let her. I am so happy she is back!
For those of you in California who go through the Regional Center, did you know that if you have health insurance then they are going to ask your insurance to pay for services? I believe it will last at least a year. Lala gets 6 hours of therapy at home. I wonder how much that adds up too? We have to call our insurance to make sure the current ABA therapy company is covered. Otherwise...I don't really want to think about it.
Oh! On a different topic, Lala has been going potty by herself lately. She has been watching the Elmo goes potty video over and over again. I think she can repeat the entire show. Anyhow, it started a couple a weeks ago. We heard her go into the bathroom and she sat herself down, did her business, cleaned, and washed her hands. For me, potty training Lala has been one of my biggest challenges. I would rather take a Calculus test. For the past year, I would say that she was 95% potty trained. She wouldn't tell us when she had to go. I just took her often and she didn't have any accidents. She could also hold if for a long time. In a couple of weeks, it will be time to teach Lala's soon-to-be 3 year old brother how to go potty. For Lala it has been approximately a 3 year potty journey. It has to be less for her brother (I hope).
