May 2007 I finally broke down and took Michael to the doctor, and finaly in February they seemed to agree on Autism, but now they will not even give half an official diagnosis. My son is semi-verbal, but has alot of problems understanding verbal concepts. He is smart, but I think his emotional delays prevent some of his potential. Michael loves cars and animals. He is a sweet-heart and fantastic with babiesm even newborns.

Michael is my only son. I was pregnant my entire senior year and thankfully made it through graduation. I am not ready for more children, and doubt I will ever be.

Reason for Joining

They told me in February 2008 that it seemed to be Autism, and though now they will not give any more information about a diagnosis, my son has many Autism tendencies, and receives therapy for them.

More About Yourself

I am a young mother. Michael was born just after Graduation, but I refuse to fit into the typical stereotype. I graduated with honors, and do not drink or party anymore. I do not date because I know taking on a single mom is alot, but I just do not know if I can ask a guy to take on me and a special needs child.

Hobbies

I love photography, but need a better camera to pursue anything in that. I also love digital graphic art, especially absract. I write, and have a dream of someday publishing a series of children's books.

Favorite Music

I listen to a wide variety of music. Some of my favorites are, Aerosmith, Pat Benatar, Queen, Bon Jovi, Brandy, Kelly Clarkson, Reba McEntire, Toby Keith, ect

Favorite Books

Jodi Piccoult's book My Sister's Keeper is a huge tear jerker. Judy Garland writes the only ramances I really get into, because I love the Highland history. Tami Hoag and Patricia Cornwell used to be on my reading list but sadly I have not been reading as much as I used to.

Favorite TV Shows

I love some older shows like I Dream A Jeannie and MASH. I also absolutely love Star Trek Next Generation, Reba and  CSI (but not the Miami or NY ones) My new passion is for The Secret Life of An American Teen.

Pets

Michael's fourth birthday present list included fish, which is about all we can have in our apartment.

Favorite Movies

I love movies, but it is so hard to pick a favorite. We watch alot of Disney here. Pirates of the Caribbean are another favorite.
